Featuring three cosy bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, a bright dining room and a generous living area, it offers ample space for up to five guests to enjoy time together while still having room to retreat and recharge.

    Living room

    Just a few steps lead up to the spacious living room beneath the roof. A comfortable seating area, a cosy reading corner, cable TV, a Blu-ray player with surround sound, a selection of DVDs, a book exchange library with German and English titles, a football table and a variety of board games provide plenty of opportunities for relaxation and entertainment.

    With its lovely views of the surrounding countryside, the inviting dining room offers a welcoming setting for shared meals. The extendable dining table comfortably accommodates up to six guests.

    The spacious, fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare and enjoy your favourite meals. It features a new four-burner induction hob, oven, new dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, filter and capsule coffee machine, water cooker, egg boiler, cookware, kitchen utensils, crockery, glasses, cutlery and a range of practical extras such as placemats, tea towels, serviets and cooking basics like salt, pepper, oil, sugar, vinegar and so on.

    Outdoors

    A small lawn area behind the house features a fire pit / charcoal barbecue, providing a pleasant setting for outdoor dining and relaxed summer evenings.

    A comfortable double bed (160 × 200 cm) promises a restful night's sleep, while the cosy reading corner is perfect for a quiet moment with a book. The large built-in wardrobe offers ample space for clothing and luggage.

    The generously sized bathroom features a bathtub, separate walk-in shower, toilet, and vanity with plenty of storage and countertop space. It offers everything you need to relax and unwind after a day exploring the Toggenburg region. A hairdryer is provided.

Property Features

The holiday apartment is located in a traditional two-family wooden house in the idyllic village of Dicken, in the heart of the Toggenburg region.

To make the most of your stay and explore the surrounding area at your own pace, we recommend arriving by car. Public bus connections are available on an hourly basis  early in the morning, around lunch time and in the early evenings. Please check times on https://www.postauto.ch/en/timetable-and-network/timetable-and-ticket-purchases

Access, Accessibility & Parking

The apartment has its own private entrance and is not wheelchair accessible. Please note that there is no lift/elevator.

Check-in and the apartment inspection at the end of your stay are conducted in person. Guests have access to an outdoor parking space on the property.

For Book Lovers

Our small library offers a selection of German and English books and operates on a book-exchange basis. If you finish the book you brought with you, we would be delighted if you left it in our library. In return, you are welcome to take one of our books home with you.

For Children

A public playground with climbing equipment is located near the village school. Right next to the house, a small stream invites children to paddle and explore nature. There are plenty of child friendly sights and adventures nearby, such as the tree top path, sound path, chocolate factory, Walter Zoo, Alpamare indoor fun bath, and many more ... Please refer to our "What to Do" section for inspiration.

For Pet Lovers

We warmly welcome up to two house-trained pets, including both dogs and cats.

Our outdoor metal staircase is equipped with paw-friendly steps for added comfort and safety. A refreshing stream runs just behind the house, while the village and surrounding area offer both short and longer walking routes, as well as conveniently located dog waste stations with free waste bags.

To make your pet's stay as comfortable as possible, we provide towels for drying off after walks, food and water bowls, and a selection of dog treats.

Nightly rates

  • Base rate for 2 guests per night

    • 2-night stay: CHF 180 per night

    • 3–6 nights: CHF 150 per night

    • 7 nights or more: CHF 130 per night

  • Stays with pets: CHF 140 per stay

Pets are welcome free of charge. The additional CHF 20 covers the extra cleaning required after a stay with pets.

Discounts for Extended Stays

  • 15% discount for stays of 3 weeks

  • 25% discount for stays of 4 weeks or longer

Tourist Tax

A tourist tax of CHF 1.50 per adult, per night is charged in accordance with local regulations.

Guests staying for business or work-related purposes are exempt from this tax.
